THE SITUATION
Google needed an engaging product video showcasing the newly updated Google Chat. The challenge: enterprise software videos are notoriously mundane, often reduced to feature lists that lose viewer attention within seconds. The video needed to communicate Chat's collaborative tools (video and group messaging, AI-driven assistance, third-party integrations) within a short, captivating format, while proving it's the hub that works with how teams already operate inside Google Workspace.
THE APPROACH
The strategic direction centered on one principle: show, don't tell. The visual framework used Google's pastel palette with dynamic motion graphics to make UI feel alive rather than static. Instead of listing features, the approach demonstrated them through real workflow moments, showing how Chat removes bottlenecks like switching between apps, losing context in threads, or hunting down files. Geometric shapes acted as visual guides, drawing attention to key UI moments while maintaining engagement throughout.
THE IMPACT
A highly engaging video that captured the full value of Google Chat, giving viewers a clear understanding of how the app enhances communication and productivity. Now live on Google Workspace's website and official YouTube channel.
