Capturing the system of rewards
The crypto platform Gemini launched new credit cards that make it easier than ever to earn rewards and manage your cryptocurrencies. With these cards, you can easily buy and sell crypto and enjoy additional benefits like cashback and travel perks.
THE CHALLENGE
Design compelling illustrations that showcase the cryptocurrency reward system built into the Gemini credit card. These illustrations should clearly demonstrate each step of the process, from earning rewards to trading and spending them. The goal is to help users understand how they can easily benefit from the rewards program and make the most of their Gemini credit card.
ILLUSTRATION STYLE
Freehand flow
My role encompassed exploring, conceptualizing, and designing an illustration style to effectively convey the simplicity of the reward process.
To underscore this ease, a 2D, minimalist freehand illustration style was established characterized by sleek, bold forms with rounded edges and quirky proportions. These elements were chosen to emphasize the authenticity and simplicity of both the process and the Gemini brand.
Furthermore, to innovate beyond conventional illustrations, a morphing transition technique was implemented. This resulted in the creation of two distinct illustrations/actions per step, adding a dynamic element to the user experience.
